Every PRCA contestant belongs to a circuit and has an opportunity to advance to a national championship in the multimillion-dollar arm of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. In 1975, the PRCA created a system that breaks up the United States into 12 circuits.
The RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo (RNCFR), known until 2010 as the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo, was first staged in 1987. For 24 years, it was held at Holt Arena on the Idaho State University campus in Pocatello.
In 1987, the DNCFR was incorporated, and Dodge became the title sponsor of all 12 circuit finals rodeos and the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo. In 2010, the Dodge brand rodeo initiative went to the newly formed Ram Truck division of the Chrysler Group.

This article lists all of the major champions from each of the events held yearly at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) and the National Finals Steer Roping (NFSR). Barrel racing finals also take place at the NFR but are sanctioned by the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA).

These finals are held with some in November of the competing year (remember that the ProRodeo Season runs from October through September) and other in February or March of the next year.
