I have a strong preference for having cameras on, to salvage whatever nonverbal communication we can have without sharing a single physical space. Whether it's just a talkie roleplaying scene or combat, especially when I'm DMing, it helps being able to read the room at a glance.
You are not using cameras out of necessity. The OP was asking if anyone else does it by choice. But since you aren't using cameras, you can help answer the question.
