14 mar 2024 · Drakes are a large family of Lesser Dragons. They look like miniature versions of the much larger true dragons and sometimes acts as guards for the true dragons. Most drakes are of animal intelligence and can not speak, but they also have breath weapons and can be a dangerous opponent.
A medium creature is worth between a 9sp and 2gp, between the meat and the hide. Based on this I would extrapolate and say a small creature is probably worth 2sp to 5sp and a large creature is worth between 2 and 4gp. Of course prices would change depending on a number of factors.
The value of meat can vary drastically, depending on the quality, rarity and the creature it is sourced from. For example, dragon meat could cost 10x more than standard livestock meat, while insect meat could cost only a copper or two per pound.

That said, I think the real value is that it allows you to preserve resources. You don't lose a lot from taking damage as its a different health pool, you have a reasonably good attack, and you can therefore preserve spell slots if it's an easier combat.
