27 kwi 2024 · Updated: 27 Apr 2024. Last time I checked, there are 107 Gods in Dungeons and Dragons, which is a lot. Saying who or what is the most powerful God in D&D is incredibly difficult with contradicting backstories, complicated bloodlines, and conflicting battles.
3 dni temu · Ilmater is one of the few good deities on this list. He is the god of endurance, and can take on the suffering of others, able to bear it for them. Ilmater is a Forgotten Realms deity connected with Tyr and Torm. He is an older deity, and was there before Tyr or Torm, well established by the time the three of them established the Triad together.
Your Divine Rank cannot exceed your Deity level, and the benefits are detailed for each rank below. Your strength as a deity is determined by your Divine Rank, which can be increased by amassing followers or claiming divinity from other gods.
tl;dr: A deity's power is usually limited to things in their portfolios. Deities have varying power levels depending on their number of worshipers. Some deities draw power from the building blocks of reality instead of worshipers. See my breakdown at the bottom.
I've been working on a hard system for Gods in 5th edition just so that if a player wants to become a true D&D God they can do so. Essentially its broken in two parts; the God-like form referred to as the Grand Form and the Class of God itself referred to as the Grand Class.
