In Dragon Age: Inquisition, the Inquisitors of any gender and race can pursue a romance. Unlike in Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, where it was only possible to romance the companions, Inquisition's romantic interests can be companions as well as non-companions, namely advisors.
Steps to Romance. Lace is a dwarven trader affiliated with the Inquisition that can most often be found in Skyhold. The player can flirt with Lace, but the option to have a romantic relationship with Lace is only possible with the Trespasser expansion.

Romances. Discussion. Hey, I'm getting a friend into Dragon Age and wanted to give him a heads up on the romance options in Inquisition. Could you all please supply me with descriptions of the romanceable characters and the tones of their romances without giving any spoilers on their personal quests or the story of Inquisition as a whole.
I think romances with Cullen are more interesting if the Inquisitor is a mage, human or elf. The one and only time I had an Inq romance Iron Bull, she was also a Qunari, though a rogue. I don't feel they were a good match. My male human archer romanced Cass, though I never finished that playthru.
