29 sie 2023 · Transmit Audio Level should be set to the proper level for your voice and how you speak into your microphone. Use the Parrot Echo Service or the VU Meter to adjust your audio level into the system. Most radios, by default, do not have the correct setting for our network.
How to use the VU meter. The VU meter shows the average level (in the upper portion and peak level (in the lower portion) of each caller. Best audio levels are in the mid yellows. The average is more important than peaks. Peaks are about 10-15 dB higher.
1 lut 2022 · The easiest way to test your levels is to call out (W7ABC testing 1-2-3) on the Parrott talk group from a PNW digital repeater like Lookout. When it answers you back you’ll hear a pre-recorded voice of a professional broadcaster such as “Welcome to the PNW digital system”.
