These are sometimes known as a Magnetic Longwire Balun. Its really an impedance transformer (9:1) to feed a high impedance, end fed (unbalanced) random wire which is likely to be a few hundred ohms, and transform it into something closer to a 50Ω (unbalanced) coaxial input, hence UnUn.
15 lip 2005 · I wanted to use the type M pipe for the added protection of the thick wall copper. I already tried using a conduit bender and that kinked it within a 10 degree bend, I like the heating idea. I will try heating and bending tommarow and let you know how it went.
13 mar 2019 · Tubing is usually soft and comes in coils. Water tubing is usually cold drawn and comes in straight lengths. K, L, and M are different wall thicknesses of water tubing ; an example for size 3/4 " is- K = 0.065", L= 0.045", and M = 0.032". All 3/4 copper water tube has a 0.875 " outer diameter.
