I used to play Dirt 2 on my ps3 (720p) with an entry level Fanatec wheel. Only since recently I play it on pc (1080p with everything on high/ultra) hooked up to a 100 inch screen, using a Logi Pro direct drive wheel.
AFAIK the servers are no longer active for DiRT 2. About 6 people, on steam. https://steamdb.info/app/12840/charts/. Which isn't surprising, since the game is no longer sold. I'd be surprised at this point tbh, the game is ancient and no longer sold.

The MacOS version of the game, ported and published by Feral Interactive, was released on September 9, 2011.
