Once you have programmed the DIRECTV remote control for your TV, you may want to activate the TV Input button. Move the slide switch to the position under TV icon. Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT keys until the green light under the TV icon flashes twice and then release both keys.
Program a Universal remote and change the input source. The Universal remote can control up to four devices. These include TVs, sound systems, game consoles or DVD players. Slide the mode switch at the top of your remote to pick the device you want to control (DIRECTV, AV1, AV2, and TV).
Note: The setup codes on these pages are compiled from the code tables of different models of DirecTV remotes (RC32, RC64, RC65, RC66 and RC80H). If a code is not accepted by your remote, just skip it and try the next one from the list.
Turn on the TV. Press and hold MUTE and SELECT at the same time until the green light flashes twice. Using the number keys enter the 5‐digit code for your brand of TV. If performed correctly, the green light under the TV flashes twice. Aim the remote at your TV and press VOL or MUTE key once.
CHECKING THE CODES If you have set up the DIRECTV universal remote control using the Searching For Your Code procedure (on the pre- vious page), you may need to find out which four-digit code is operating your equipment.
PROBLEM: Remote control does not turn on Sony or Sharp TV/VCR Combo. SOLUTION: For power on, these products require setting up TV codes on the remote control. For Sony, use TV code 10000 and VCR code 20032. For Sharp, use TV code 10093 and VCR code 20048.
