18 paź 2011 · Go to www.dishpointer.com and put in your location (you can select the photo version if you like) and the dish type. With the HR24, that would likely be either Directv SL3 or SL5. The result will give both true and magnetic. Set the elevation and tilt.
16 lis 2012 · Directv receiver says 60 tilt 36 elevation. Messing with the tilt gets me 101/110 or 110/119 at the same time but I cannot get 101/110/119 at the same time which means my tilt must be off. Need the setting for zip code 256xx.

The Direct TV Satellite dish works great when properly pointed. The dish requires a line-of-sight connection and the correct alignment angle to receive the best possible signal. Direct TV offers alignment as a service to optimize the angle, but you can also work the angle yourself.
The easiest way is to somehow have a TV close to your location. Watch the screen and move the dish extremely slowly. If you can't see the screen of the TV, get a radio or walkie talkie, put one close to the TV and tape the talk button open. Take the other one up on the roof and listen to the beeping.
