23 lut 2012 · When I try to play it comes up 'Direct 2 Drive' and asks for the serial key. I no longer have the key, it's not like steam where I can get it or redownload the game as the old Gamefly portal...
The big problem that D2D USED to have (it's gone now) was you could only download your game a limited number of times (before it was removed from your account). You had to buy "download protection" for 5 bucks. Now, it's technically included for free. It works just like Steam now, in that way.

Games from D2D still need D2D activation service to work. Back up with no way to run is pointless (unless I missed something or they have unlocked all their games). Well, now I'm glad that I never bought anything from D2D. This is why I enjoy having physical media. Didn't IGN just buy them up like a year or two ago?
