Truman's baseball program dates back to 1966 when the program went 4–8. [2] Since their inaugural season the Bulldogs claimed one Division II Tournament appearance as an at-large bid in 2015 in the Midwest Region. [3] During this playoff berth, the Bulldogs won five consecutive games in the regional to advance to the Division II College World Series in Cary, North Carolina. [4]
He was the top producing bulldog of all times with 83 American champions and was a five time Beckett Award Winner and is in the BCA Stud Dog Hall of Fame.

Following pitching success at Wichita North High School and Hutchinson Community College, right hander Craig Dingman signed with the New York Yankee after being drafted in the 36th round of the 1993 draft. Dingman debuted with the Yankees in 2000.
