Welcome to SGI-USA! We are the most diverse Buddhist community in the United States with more than 500 chapters and some 100 centers throughout the country. Our Chicago center is located in the South Loop Neighborhood. We have meetings in every neighborhood in Chicago and the surrounding areas.

The Bodhi Path Buddhist Center of Chicago is part of an international network of Buddhist Centers founded by Shamar Rinpoche and dedicated to offering high quality instruction in meditation and Buddhist philosophy.

Bodhi Path Chicago was opened in February 2007 by the 14th Shamar Rinpoche to teach Buddhist philosophy and meditation to all who are interested. The center offers programs ranging from information for newcomers to instruction and support for the advanced meditator.
