14 lip 2009 · No problem with that answer. But there is a problem hidden behind it: Dial bore gauges have a travel of 0.5 or 1 mm. If you buy a set of ring gages to fit every possible diameter (16 to 150 mm for that set), you could also buy 3 point inside micrometers and save a lot of money.
15 cze 2014 · I've got mitutoyo's dial bore gauge from small split ones to 10" I think. I find them nice and I have a less confidence in using a telescoping gauge as the bore size goes up so use them a fair bit - but set up but its a small production.
18 wrz 2024 · I recently purchased the Mitutoyo 511-751 Dial Bore Gauge and I have to say, I am beyond impressed. This product has a total measurement range of 0.7 to 1.4″ and is accurate to + or – 0.0008″. As someone who works with precise measurements, this gauge has been a game-changer for me.
27 paź 2023 · I have run into something with my new Mitutoyo dial bore gauge. I believe it came with the wrong dial indicator head or either I’m looking at it wrong. I can’t get it setup right no matter what I do.
I'd like to invest in a good quality dial bore gauge for home work. I was looking at the Mitutoyo 511-753 or Starrett. Budget would probably max be $300. What are you guys using or have good recommendations?
I have recently had my dial bore gauges and indicators sent for calibration in the national metrology centre. And the results were pretty funny. Sent in different brands, one new, two used dial bore gauges, and one new, one used dial indicator and a bunch of digital micrometers.
