Before this patch, you had to run Diablo II in compatibility mode for Windows XP if you wanted to play it on a modern operating system, but now you can just run the game ...
Just start the game with Diablo II.exe from your D2 installation folder (not PD2 folder!). I don't know if this is a bug (or feature) from the lootfilter but some items do not have names (like regular gems).
