Login after Disconnects: A generic error code may appear to players who lose internet connection, which may block an affected player from logging back in even after reconnecting. Players who believe they are encountering this issue should close the Destiny 2 application and relaunch.
The companion app requires downloading the current D2 manifest file, which is hundreds of megabytes (even compressed). So you probably just didn't have enough free storage space to unzip it. Mate you're an absolute legend, I've had this problem for about 2 months now and this fixed it.

Go to the search Bar and search %appdata% Then select Bungie > DestinyPC > prefs Delete the two items in that folder. I was able to fix the same issue by just restarting my router and then connecting back into battle.net. So far it has worked twice for me. It may or may not work for you but give it a try anyway.
To fix this error, try switch from WiFi to a wired connection. If the problem persists, and you cannot log into Destiny, try to force quit Destiny before relaunching. BEAVER
