Pretty sure there was 4. Desert, Jungle, Urban, and Nuclear. I remember being Meh about Urban Strike. Desert was great but only 4 levels. Jungle was pretty much the best one.
Brigadier is the closest I've found and has described itself as inspired by Desert Strike and the Crusader games. About 10 years ago I went to the Midwest Gaming Classic outside of Milwaukee and there was a guy that had three boxes filled with sealed desert strike games for sega. Apparently he bought it when KB Toys went out of business. He was selling them for $5 each. Wish I would have bought one.

17 sty 2023 · The following year of the release of Jungle Strike Amiga received Zeewolf, basically a very nice polygonal Desert Strike with some cool ideas. It also had a very good sequel in which you also control a jet.
