Entity Annual Report (E1) Gateway Submissions for 2015 (and forward) A New Way to Report – Gateway. State law IC 5-11-1-9 delegates the “oversight” responsibility to examine the records and accounts of entities receiving financial assistance from government sources. The Annual Report requirement will now be filed using Gateway (a web-based system)
Overview & Introduction. What is the State Board of Accounts (SBOA) • Created by Indiana Code 5-11-1. • Audit the financial statements, records, and accounts of all state and local governmental units. • Prepare and file ‘audit reports’ opining on the accuracy of the financial statements and noting any noncompliance with laws or guidelines.
Nongovernmental Organizations (entities) receiving financial assistance from governmental sources in the form of grants, subsides or contributions are required by Indiana Code (IC) 5-11-1-4 to file an Entity Annual Report (E-1) with the State Board of Accounts.
