22 lip 2014 · Keyboard has no num lock key. This is how to turn the number keypad on. Go to PC settings, click on Ease of Access, click on mouse. Under mouse Keys - Make sure, Use Mouse Keys when Num lock is on is set to off. Then your key pad will work.
18 lis 2012 · I just received my new XPS 8500, and there doesn't seem to be a num lock key on the keyboard. Hitting keys on the numeric keypad produces numbers or arithmetic symbols, not functions like "Home" and "End," which is what I've used the numeric keypad for since the 1980s. I'm finding this extremely difficult to work with.
7 sie 2019 · You are correct...I've confirmed that holding the CTRL key and tapping HOME works "normally" and solves my immediate problem. As for documentation, I've spent way too much time on the Dell support site trying to find documentation covering this keyboard and have found nothing....so far.
1 gru 2014 · Open Apple menu and choose “System Preferences”, then go to “Accessibility”. Select “Mouse & Trackpad” and look for an option called “Enable Mouse Keys” – uncheck this if it is checked to regain usage of the number pad.
16 lip 2019 · If the setting is already enabled, try using a USB keyboard connected to the laptop, just to verify that the number lock function is working and that it is not a software problem. If it works when using a USB keyboard then most probably it is a hardware problem with the number lock key itself.
