My friend has a laptop with the same CPU, a 1660 Ti (slightly worse than the 2060 Max Q) and a 4k 15.6" screen and gets 9-10 Hr out of it. It just seems like something is off. If this is the actual battery life I am 100% returning it.
On battery saver, minimum brightness, and no programs running, I was given an estimate of 4 hours of battery life, which I confirmed, coming back 3 hours later to about 25% remaining. I thought it was potentially a driver issue, so I reinstalled windows using dell's support assistant.
18 wrz 2024 · I’ve tried adjusting the power settings to optimize battery life, updating the BIOS, and making sure all the drivers are up to date, but the issue persists. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem or have any suggestions on how to improve the battery performance?
It might be disabled on Dell computers that you probably are correct on. I have a few 9th gen laptops that aren't Dell and with it on battery life is 72 minutes, with it off is about 4 hours.
