2 maj 2019 · I subscribe and read many of the current SF magazines, while also systematically reading through all the annual best-SF-of-the-year collections, as well as anthologies that cover the complete history of science fiction.
It can be difficult to rate their quality because I don't consistently order them. I find good work in Uncanny, Clarkesworld, and Apex, the latter of which is an older digital mag. Lightspeed make decent podcasts, and never seem to be open for submissions.
The blog link died when they last changed editors and the new website is more up to date, but not actually up to date. You can still order issues direct from them, often find them at B&N or newstands (though not sure there are any left outside NYC lol), and get digital editions through Amazon or Weightless Books.

And, as a new magazine, it's easier to get published. We have two submission cycles -- one in the spring, that just closed, and one in the fall -- and we always get hundreds of submissions (more than 500 this spring). We pay 8 cents a word for original fiction, which is a SFWA-qualified pro rate.
