10 sty 2021 · The pursuit of health equity is foundational to the global health enterprise. But while moral concerns over health inequities can galvanise political commitment, how such concerns can or should translate into practice remains less clear.
We define integrative health equity as “optimal health for all through a whole-person approach that explicitly recognizes cultural, social, and structural determinants of health.” We distinguish integrative health equity from the overlapping and related concepts of “diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
