So I love games like stardew where you can get to know the npcs and eventually marry them, but I feel like one of the biggest issues I have with most farming/life sim games is that once you’ve married a character, that’s kinda it in terms of your relationship with them.

Again, I don’t believe it’s wrong to do play dating sim games in a relationship. Plenty of people can handle this on both ends of the relationship; people can separate themselves from their characters, and people can be completely comfortable about their partner playing them.
