The deep veins accompany the major arteries and their branches and are usually paired.
So, one very important thing to note that even though the femoral vein is drawn on the side of the body that's meant to be showing the superficial veins and the femoral vein is sometimes mistakenly classified as a superficial vein, it's actually considered a deep vein of the lower limb.
