calculation of magnetic declination values for any location on Earth and any given year between 1900 and 2020
GFZ Potsdam - IGRF declination calculator. City: (optional) Alternatively, input your own global coordinates. Date: (1900 - 2025) Altitude (optional): m. (-1000 - 600000)
26 maj 2024 · Our calculator will help you find the magnetic declination for your specific location and date. A positive declination (+D) means that your compass will point east of north. A negative declination (-D) means that your compass will point west of north.
The declination calculator provides declination values for any location on Earth and any time between 1900 and 2025. The calculation is based on the International Geomagentic Reference Field (IGRF) which describes the geomagnetic core field.
12 lut 2013 · Instructions for the IGRF+ Declination Calculator. Values are computed using the current International Geomagnetic Reference Field as adopted by the International Association of Geomagnetism and Aeronomy. Values are estimates based on the IGRF11 and are generally accurate to within 30 minutes of arc for D and I and 100-250 nT for the force ...
MagDec is a graphical front end for the NCEI online Magnetic Field Calculators that eliminates the need to input geodetic coordinates and displays the calculated magnetic declination and secular variation in a placemark balloon.
