19 maj 2022 · DeadFred began in 1998 and since then has reunited over 3,000 ancestors photos to relatives. There is no cost. DeadFred is a free website and sends the found photos (that are owned by DeadFred) home free. Anyone can copy photos to their hard drive for private use. We run DeadFred on donations and google ads.
Photographs of California soldiers who fought in WWI are in this database. This collection of over 4,000 records is held by the California State Library and each image is accompanied by a residential address for the soldier at that time.
