The game is basically unplayable for me - I can't see the floor in most cases, no wall background textures, ladders or doors. Tried reinstalling. Is there a quick fix to this?

I have tried re-installing. If this issue only happens only with dead cells and not with all your other games, try updating your OpenGl to the latest version. You can also try updating your graphics driver or uninstalling/reinstalling it. Humidity can also cause this type of visual tearings.
