8 mar 2018 · I ended up buying a pair of Polk Monitor 10's for around $400 on sale. I still have the 10's (amongst quite a few other Polks) but now I want to breath new life into these Time Windows. Will continue to add to this thread as I progress in the overhaul.
4 lut 2024 · There is NO time window 1. The label on the back of your speaker is the same as the one in the bottom picture and the speaker is called a Time Window.
4 mar 2021 · The Time Window 1A steps up to Vifa tweeters, I believe, a worthwhile design improvement in my opinion. (The superb DCM CX-17, 27 and 31 have an excellent Vifa or Visaton tweeter, both modified for DCM with ferrofluid cooling.
26 wrz 2012 · DCM TIme Windows 1A set up. Hi, I've read many threads on DCM Time Windows (I know they won't go away). I recently picked up a pair and i have a question on set up. I read a post that said when you hook up the speakers you should hook up the RIGHT speaker cable from amp to the speaker positioned on LEFT of listening area and vice versa.
DCM Time Window Overhaul. Picked up a pair of early DCM Time WIndows a few months ago. Back in the late 70's I had wanted a pair, but went the Polk Monitor 10 route. Decided to bring them back to life. Refinish the end caps, rebuild the crossovers, and new "socks".
15 wrz 2002 · The DCM Time Windows Original and 1a used Philips drivers and they have butyl surrounds for the drivers, not foam. I do not see any need to service those drivers, unless of course one over powers them and frys the voice coils.
25 maj 2011 · Each Time Window 1a contains two 6 inch cones and two 1” dome tweeters in a transmission line (bass reflex) design arranged much like an Allison 1. In their instruction sheet, DCM talks about the great bass response but I don’t think these speakers will strongly respond below 60hz.
