Season 14. 25-years-old from North Carolina. There were ~7 black kids at the school in the small town she grew up in. She remembers that one day when she was practicing tennis, some men pulled up in a truck and disparagingly told her that “n-words” don’t play tennis. It made her feel so small.
Everyone on the team except Chandi and Kelsey made the squad under the new audition process (videos submitted from all over the country). This made the process much more competitive and elevated the collective skill level.
