2 lis 2018 · Election to Not Participate in the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System. Note: Applies only to individuals who are eligible to elect to participate in the Optional Retirement Program or who are eligible to decline to participate in the Employees’ Pension System.
If you were hired by the State on or before June 30, 2011, and retired* from State service on or before January 1, 2020, you are eligible to receive a State-funded HRA. Those hired on or after July 1, 2011, are not eligible for the State-funded HRA.

Please look for the Open Enrollment announcement and link on the SPS Welcome page. If you are not making any changes, your current coverage will rollover to 2024 (EXCEPTION: new FSA elections must be completed each year). The Open Enrollment period spans October 16 to November 9 at 5 pm.
