These brackets raise the tie rod 2-3/4″ higher while adding double the strength to the rod end connection. They are designed to spread the different loads incurred in wheeling to more areas, while improving the strength of the steering knuckles.
15 mar 2005 · I'm using the rocky road kit on my xj w/ front leaf conversion. I bought the brackets seperately, had them mounted but couldn't find a local person to build the tie rod I wanted reasonably. Ended up buying a tie rod from them which arrived yesterday (looks really good and beefy).

18 kwi 2005 · This kit was designed for the Dana 30 front axle, models 1992 and newer; and the 2003 Rubicon front 44. NOTE: The High Steer Kit (HSK) was designed to work with a 1992 and newer brake caliper mounting design so on older Dana 30 axles (84-91) it will be necessary to update the caliper, the rotor and possibly the unibearing to the later design.
