In my single player game i built on the outcrop directly north of the hidden lake, next to the beach. Easily defendable against the occasional rex, a crap load of space that is not too difficult to build on and easy access to the beavers and other goodies in the hidden lake itself.
22 sty 2018 · If you are experienced enough to confidently traverse the island then hidden lake is the best. Herbivore island is great for inexperienced players to get started in safety but being so far away from everything gets really tedious later on.

Smuggler's Pass is comprised of two main areas. The first stretches from a forested bay on the north coast, cutting across the peninsula containing The Hidden Lake, and ending near the river mouth beneath Far's Peak. Roughly midway along the ravine's length is an island of elevated ground.
