17 paź 2024 · What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router. What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status. Its recommended leaving DNS relay enabled. You can always flush DNS cache on the client side: ipconfig /flushdns
26 paź 2024 · Am having weird problems trying to reset D-Link DIR-835 (KA2IR835A1) router running 1.04 version of the firmware. I don't have the admin password and can't login into the router. What I tried:

Check to see if this is the same on the ISP modem, and if modem can't be bridged, change the DIR router to 192.168.1.1 or .0.254. 18 paź 2014 · I use the D-link 880L router with 5-10 client devices. One of these devices is a Windows Server 2012 which I have set up as a DNS server. What I did on my old D-link DIR-655 router (and was working just fine for many years) was the following Router IP: 192.168.5.1 DHCP scope: 192.168.5.50 to 192.168.5.200
I had several problems when trying to setup this router, because certain steps were missing from the instructions. After a little research i was able to figure them out. Problem: My Computer will not connect to my DWL-G730AP when its in client mode.
Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Link> Cat6 is recommended. Check ISP MTU requirements, Cable is usually 1500, DSL is around 1492 down to 1472. Call the ISP and ask.
