24 lis 2012 · The M6 Scout is about 4.7 lbs and my Savage 24C and 24K are in the 6.5lbs range. I believe that M6 Scout would be better suited as a pack gun for use when hiking/backpacking. However, since weight is not as much of an issue in a canoe, the full size Savage 24 or similar gun might be better.
The Springfield Armory M6 Scout is a .22 Hornet over .410 bore combination gun that is virtually identical to the original M6 Aircrew Survival Weapon. It is also made in .22 Long Rifle over .410 bore and .22 Magnum over .410 bore.

31 gru 2010 · With a cost in the low $200 range, it’s not so expensive that I mind using it as a knock around woods gun. It’s a well-designed special purpose gun that works very well for the outdoors...
4 gru 2023 · Typical prices for the M6 Scout can be as low as about $500 but particularly rare models, like the one featured in most of the photos in this article, start at around $900 and go on up from there.
