Red topaz definitely sped it up. Letting a misquito attack me while I cut allowed me to ignore all other enemies though they do despawn periodically. Cut light and drop, you still earn favor when doing so.
Old School Tolls crafting skill calculator shows cutting red topaz as extremely profitable, but this looks to be based on 100% cut rate. Just wondering when it ACTUALLY becomes profitable. (I have 81 crafting and my buddy told me its around 85)
