27 lis 2010 · I write this post to ask your opinion about the ideal relationship between track width and wheelbase dimensions. A long wheelbase car should have more stability during brakings and, if it's polar inertia is not so high, should produce more yaw moment in corner entry.
In cases where the surface is slippery, a higher CG or narrower track width will aid in transferring weight to outside wheels to give more “bite”. Narrower tires may also aid in this situation. Optimize Polar moment of inertia by packaging components as near as possible to the CG.

I would recommend you to make a simulation model for deciding optimal wheel base and wheel track. A bicycle model is a good start for doing the same. You can tweak it and judge the performance of your car (on balance maybe?).
