Never put 11 speed on 12 speed drivetrain. Master links should match the number of speeds, but usually you can interchange the brands. Wipperman Connex links are rated for multiple uses, and also require no tools to remove.

I am pretty sure that I can use the same quick links on both the Shimano chains (SM-CN910). Are 12 speed KMC chain links also compatible with all 3 of them? What would you recommend?
There's no issue mixing and matching brands here. Just make sure it's a 9 speed quick link. It won't hurt anything if the fit is moderately relatively sloppy compared to a normal link so long as it's going to fit ok with the 9 speed cassette.
