Time Owned: more than 12 months. It sounds like some have issues with this antenna over time. I just got mine, so will have to wait a few months/years to see how it lasts. However, I am very pleased with the quality of the antenna so far... and with how easy it was to put together.
Time Owned: more than 12 months. The MA5B antenna is absolutely superb in terms of performance considering the small boom size of just 2.2 meters.

LAIRDS's PC8910N Yagi antenna is designed for 800 MHz, ESMR, SMR, cellular or conventional applications. The ten-element antenna has 11 dB gain and operates in the 896 – 940 MHz frequency range. This Yagi antenna has a maximum power input of 200 W and includes a 19 in pigtail terminated with an N Female connector.
If I see the R-8 of my buddy after over 12 years, it still looks in great shape. Mine (only 6 months up in the air) show rust, corrosion and had wrong coils, louzy drilled holes and spacers totally different from former revisions that are way to tight for the stubs.
