Apparently at some point they took away the feature and have recently put it back in for the latest alpha build. Had to op in to the alpha but now I can edit the install location. I don't know what version of curse your using but I'm using the new beta that came out not to long ago.
Minecraft is currently on my SSD, and is taking up a lot of space. Is there any way to change its installation location to somewhere on my HDD? The launcher doesn't seem to have options for this anymore.
7 cze 2016 · Under Settings>Minecraft>Minecraft Install Location, you can change your install path. What do you mean it refuses to install?
12 cze 2023 · Minecraft is divided in the Launcher installation and game files. You can change the directory for the game files in your profile settings. https://minecrafthopper.net/help/guides/changing-game-directory/. This is primarily for configs, mods and worldsaves.

30 sie 2014 · I use this method to preserve original complete old versions of minecraft installed and quickly accessible as well as to keep modded versions of the game, even with the newer Launcher, in completely separate install folders so that there are no issues or mix-ups.
