30 cze 2020 · Petra Diamonds is looking for a buyer for some or all its assets. Petra Diamonds recovered this 20.08-carat blue diamond from the Cullinan mine and sold it for almost $15 million last November. The London-based miner, which has three other diamond mines in addition to Cullinan, is up for sale.
A magnificent 20.08 carat Type IIb blue diamond was recovered at the Cullinan Mine in September 2019. It subsequently sold for US$14.9 million (US$741,000 per carat) to an anonymous buyer in November 2019.
Petra has also recovered and sold two further special diamonds from the Cullinan mine post Year end, being a 342.92 carat white stone and an 18.30 carat blue stone for a total upfront payment of US$13.5 million, as well as retaining a 50% interest in the profit uplift of the polished proceeds of both diamonds, after costs.
