Pet Foods are used to tame Pets in Cube World. There are unique types of Pet Food for each tamable creature. Equip a piece of Pet Food by right-clicking it from your inventory. If that monster likes that food, it will become tamed by it and begin eating it with hearts above it's head.

[Spoilerish] Spreadsheet of pets and their foods. As I've been playing, I've stumbled across food items that weren't yet discovered by the streamers pre-release. Since they're not on any current list, I've started a new one to keep track of them until the wiki is updated.
See the list of pets for a full list of pets, including the type of pet, if they're ride-able, food used for taming them, and landscapes they are found in. The current active pet can be given a name (or renamed at any time) by opening the game chat by pressing "enter" and entering the following command: /namepet <name>
Select the food item from your inventory by clicking it in the pets tab. Feed the animal by standing near it whilst holding the food. Why tame a pet Pets are great companions in Cube World. They will attack enemies and if you have the required skill path, you can even ride some pets around the map.
TIP: You can find pet food in towns' item shop (unique food each town) or loot them from monsters. The sources for this list are available here.
