Hi, I've just switched to using an ASUS TUF Dash F15 laptop and have noticed the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+N (used to open a new Chrome Incognito tab and to open a new Windows Explorer window) doesn't work, even if I try plugging in an external keyboard.
20 kwi 2019 · Cause the shortcut for new folder is CTRL + SHIFT + N not CTRL + N.... It's not working in any program with a Ctrl+N shortcut. New windows in chrome, new files in Notepad, VSCode etc. None of them work. Have you tried the virtual keyboard? 1. Press Windows + R to open the run command. 2. type: OSK and press ENTER.
I didn't install any new software to support the keyboard, and I tried uninstalling the drivers and restarting my computer, and it still doesn't work. I downloaded the hotkeys checker application to see what is occuping ctrl shift n, and it says that it is not active.
Does it work on your desktop? to properly diagnose the problem, please try to press on Ctrl + Shift + N on your desktop and see if that will make a new folder. if it doesn't work, please try to check if all of your individual keys are working properly
8 sty 2021 · An easy way to check is by removing/uninstalling them from Chrome. To do that, simply right-click on the Chrome extension icon on the top right corner and tap on remove from Chrome. On the extension page, select Remove from Chrome. Restart and try using Chrome shortcuts again.
I've googled the problem and tried the suggestions, but that didn't fix it. It is only Ctrl+Shift+N that doesn't work. All the other keyboard shortcuts that I've tried work. This is on Windows 11 with all the updates.
