19 sie 2023 · I have found, however, that very often just bailing on the current scan and trying again will work. Sometimes I've been perpetually stuck, but that's a rare occurrence. I'd love to learn what other people may be using instead of the Crucial System Scanner.
The best thing to do here is open the system scan URL directly from edge to download the scan tool. Once it's downloaded, launch it directly from the browser's download manager. Works perfectly.

11 mar 2022 · The "Readme" file included explains that it solves a Windows registry inconsistency that can keep the scanner from being recognized by Windows. So far, no further issues for me. Update: It worked for a few days, then I was back to the same old problem.

I've been using and loving the Crucial System Scanner for years. But increasingly (and as mentioned elsewhere such as this thread from 6 months ago) running it even on popular PCs that are several years old causes it to fail with errors like this: https://i.imgur.com/TI1SIUb.png
