7 mar 2018 · Just wondering when my 2005 4.0L is going to blow up. If it has gone bad there is a squealing from the engine has often been described as a "laughing bunch of monkeys" sound. Fix is $130 part made by crown.
The Crown Automotive Oil Pump Drive Assembly (OPDA) for the TJ Wrangler replaces the factory unit which was designed with two oil impregnated bronze bushings separated by an oil seal. The upper bushing is cut off from lubrication by that seal, resulting in premature failure.
