8 mar 2018 · You can create a custom template from scratch, or you can save an existing spreadsheet as a template, and then clean it up a bit. The only difference is whether you start with a new, blank sheet or one you've already created.
Double-click the template you just created. Excel creates a new workbook that is based on your template. If you often use the same layout or data in a workbook, save it as a template so you can use the template to create more workbooks instead of starting from scratch.
Use your template to make a new document. To start a new file based on your template, click File > New > Custom, and click your template.
