I was specifically referring to decoding most NA P25 Police channels as they usually run on digital trunking systems. While a lot can be ran on a single SDR as long as the SDR's band is wide enough to get all of the channels, I found it to be more stable using a 2 radio setup.

There are some references to breaking encryption on a P25 system that I have come across. However if the agency in question changes the "keys over the air" routinely its going to be a whole lot more trouble. As far as I know there are no "stand alone" apps which can do the job for you.
