Two 8-pin connectors on a z790 motherboard. I've ordered an ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI motherboard but shortly after I noticed that it says in its manual that BOTH 8-pin cpu power cables need to be plugged into it. The manual doesn't mention anything about one being optional.

Most consumer CPUs on the market, even high-end Core i7s, and Ryzen 7 CPUs, don’t tend to actually need this full 235 Watt capacity in order to operate at default settings.
