4 paź 2023 · I searched the Cox site and found a Cox app for IOS and Android, but I see no mention of one for Roku. They also mention being able to watch directly in a browser, so maybe using a laptop would be a good garage solution.
Get an android streaming device and use the contour app. It's great. And plenty of decent cheap android TV boxes. Or my fav, a TV that supports Android TV (Sony). Better app experices across the board anyway with Android apps. They are just better and updated first.
Is the contour app available on Roku or amazon Fire stick? I have a wireless smart TV in my backyard and the person installing my cox informed me that I could just download the contour app on the TV and watch it there.

So....I was told by a cox customer rep that I could access my basic channel line up thru a contour app on Roku tv. I find this to be untrue. Could Cox offer an explanation as to why I receive erroneous info from their sales staff. And to why my Contour is BLOCKED from streaming to my tv.
25 lut 2024 · The Cox tv app is called Contour. I couldn’t find it in Roku’s App Library, but I also have an Apple TV device and the Contour app is in the Apple TV App Store. For some reason Apple TV’s App Store carries it but Roku’s App Store does not.
It runs the same OS as the rest of the Contour/Xfinity boxes, and only has a few apps. There's really no good reason to rent it, especially when a Fire stick or a Roku Express can be had for around 5-6 months worth of rental fees and will give you far more options.
