Our course materials department is open for full counter service most of the year. We can grab the textbooks you need, just walk in and ask. But during our peak seasons at the beginning of the semester, textbooks must be ordered online from the Bookstore.

Digital materials and courseware are automatically available through a student's Canvas account by the first day of classes. These include library materials such as unlimited use ebooks, streaming videos, course reading lists, and open educational resources.
Finding textbooks and course materials. In partnership with the University of Minnesota Bookstores, the University Libraries provides you with a list of free U of M required books. All books are free for U of MN - Twin Cities’ students to read online and to checkout.
Library Course Materials (formerly course reserves) are instructor-selected materials made available to students through the Libraries, most free of charge. The Libraries make course reading lists available through Canvas under the "Library Course Materials" menu option.
