15 kwi 2019 · I haven't been able to find predefined functions that will work directly on SAS as ncol () or nrow () in R for a dataset. Therefore, I have tried to replicate the function nrow () using the following logic, trying to store the result in a variable. My attempt has been as following:
The COUNT function counts rows. COUNT (*) returns the total number of rows in a group or in a table. If you use a column name as an argument to COUNT, then the result is the total number of rows in a group or in a table that have a nonmissing value for that column.
7 kwi 2017 · This function would calculate order by a test_score (highest is 1, 2nd highest is 2 and so on) and then divide by the total number of observations to provide a fractional rank. Unfortunately, year_start differs widely from row to row.

10 lut 2014 · Could you please tell me how to count a variable only if certain criteria is met in the proc sql syntax. For example, I want to count both people and Hispanic people. So I coded the following way, but the calculated p_count and chm_count is the same.
16 lut 2020 · That's what I've tried to tell you: Use a SAS data step for such a use case, use SAS SQL for a group count. Take advantage of the differences between the SAS data step and SQL.
